“1 Thessalonians 5:18 Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

My favorite quote is this bible verse. In my personal life, it always applies and working in the OT profession I remind myself of it daily. In a profession that most outsiders may look at as less desired circumstances, because most of our kids have disabilities, I try to remind myself to look at it as opportunity from God. God has blessed us with special children that teach us something new everyday. Whether that is a new found patience for a difficult situation, or making a breakthrough with treatment and watching a child become joyous as they become able to do something that they have never done before. I give all thanks to Him. Being in the occupational therapy field, especially in pediatrics, I am here to help these kids live their fullest and happiest lives possible. With children we are training them to be successful in school, to be more independent at home, and most importantly to PLAY and enjoy their lives as a kid! By doing everyday ordinary activities, I get to watch my patients surpass all their own expectations and bring more meaning to their lives. I am so thankful to be a part of a community where even the smallest victories are celebrated, it is truly wonderful!”
